HR Specialist:
People, Culture & Development

Full-Time Employment

Build a Workplace Where People Stay Connected, Keep Learning & Do Their Best Work.

Starting your HR career should give you exposure to more than HR administration.

We're looking for an HR Specialist (People, Culture & Development) who wants to learn the full rhythm of how an organisation engages, communicates with and develops its people.

You'll work across the employee experience: from HR communications and employee relations to workplace culture, engagement and learning & development, while gaining practical exposure to talent acquisition and HR operations.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working with people, making things happen and believes that good HR should be practical, visible and relevant to employees.

What You'll Own & Contribute

1.Employee Relations & Engagement

Be an active HR presence within the workplace, not simply someone employees hear from when there's an administrative matter.

You'll:

  • Support day-to-day employee engagement and employee relations activities

  • Help HR stay connected to employee sentiment, concerns and workplace experiences

  • Participate in onboarding and new-hire integration

  • Support employee recognition, wellbeing and engagement initiatives

  • Gather employee feedback and help translate it into practical improvements

  • Build positive touchpoints across different stages of the employee journey

2.Workplace Culture & Social Committee

You'll be a default member and active champion of our Workplace Social Committee, helping create a connected and engaging workplace.

This includes:

  • Contributing ideas for employee activities and workplace initiatives

  • Planning and coordinating social, festive and employee engagement events

  • Encouraging participation across teams

  • Supporting recognition and appreciation activities

  • Bringing fresh ideas to strengthen workplace connection and belonging

The objective isn't simply to organise events.

It's to help create meaningful opportunities for people to connect.

3.HR Communications

Good HR communication should be clear, human and easy to understand.

You'll help:

  • Develop internal HR communications and employee announcements

  • Translate policies and HR initiatives into clear, employee-friendly messages

  • Create HR content for onboarding, engagement, learning and workplace initiatives

  • Maintain HR communication calendars and employee touchpoints

  • Work with relevant teams to ensure consistent and timely communication

4.Learning & Development: Small Steps, Sustained Learning

We believe employee development doesn't always require long courses or elaborate programmes.

You'll help us make learning bite-sized, practical and sustainable.

This includes:

  • Coordinate baseline corporate training across key workplace competencies

  • Identify common learning needs across the organisation

  • Develop short learning content, toolkits, guides and knowledge-sharing sessions

  • Coordinate internal subject-matter experts to share practical knowledge

  • Support onboarding and refresher learning

  • Track participation and gather feedback

  • Explore digital and AI-enabled approaches that make workplace learning easier to access

The aim is to establish a simple rhythm of continuous learning, i.e. useful knowledge, delivered consistently and applied at work.

5. Talent Acquisition & Recruitment Exposure

You'll continue to build an important foundation in talent acquisition by:

  • Supporting selected internal recruitment assignments

  • Understanding manpower requirements with hiring managers

  • Sourcing and screening candidates

  • Coordinating interviews and candidate communications

  • Supporting onboarding and new-hire experience

  • Participating in career fairs and talent outreach initiatives

This gives you visibility of the employee journey from candidate to colleague.

6.HR Operations & Continuous Improvement

  • Support HR processes, documentation and employee records

  • Assist with HR reporting and people metrics

  • Review HR workflows and identify opportunities to simplify or improve them

  • Help maintain practical and employee-friendly HR policies and resources

  • Support HR projects and corporate people initiatives as business priorities evolve

Requirements
  • Who We're Looking For

  • You are a fresh graduate in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, Communications or a related discipline who wants to build a broad and practical HR foundation.

  • We're particularly interested in someone who:

  • Genuinely enjoys working with people

  • Communicates clearly and with empathy

  • Is comfortable taking the initiative rather than waiting to be instructed

  • Enjoys organising activities and bringing people together

  • Can turn ideas into practical execution

  • Is organised, dependable and attentive to detail

  • Is comfortable engaging employees across different levels

  • Believes HR can be both professional and human

  • Experience from university clubs, orientation programmes, event committees, volunteering, internships or student leadership is valuable.

  • You don't need years of HR experience, we're interested in what you've taken ownership of and what you've learnt from it.

What Success Looks Like

  • Success isn't measured by how many HR activities you organise or emails you send.

  • It's whether employees are:

  • Better informed. Better connected. Better supported. Continuously learning.

  • And whether HR is seen as an active contributor to creating a workplace where people can perform and grow.

Why This Role?

  • 1.Your 1st HR role should help you understand people, not just processes.

  • 2.You'll gain practical exposure across employee relations, HR communications, workplace culture, learning & development, talent acquisition and HR operations.

  • 3.More importantly, you'll have opportunities to own initiatives, engage employees directly and see the impact of what you implement.

  • 4.It's a strong starting point for someone who wants to grow into a well-rounded HR professional and future HR Business Partner.
